OnePlus has officially joined the league of smartphone manufactures that produce smart wearables.
Today, the Chinese giant finally unveiled the first OnePlus-branded wearable device – OnePlus Band.
The all-new fitness tracker features a decent display, a lasting battery, and many health and fitness tracking features.
The OnePlus Band has a full-colour 1.1-inch AMOLED panel. The touchscreen display offers the user a resolution of 126 x 294 pixels.
The smart band allows the user to customize its appearance by choosing from the various UI wallpapers pre-installed on the device.
The OnePlus Band houses a 100mAh battery that promises a 14 – day battery life. Users can charge the band via a USB-A charging dongle that comes in the retail box.
The device arrives with support for 5ATM and IP68 dust and water resistance and replaceable straps.
The smart band connects with Android smartphones operating on Android 6 or higher.
Regarding connectivity, the device comes with the Bluetooth 5.0 LE. The user can explore the health features via the OnePlus Health app by connecting the band to their smartphone.
It supports other health features like heart rate sensor, gyroscope, sleep monitor, 3-axis accelerometer, and a SpO2 tracker.
Talking fitness, the OnePlus Band tracks indoor and outdoor activities like running, cycling, walking, badminton, swimming, yoga, elliptical training, cricket, and yoga.
The new OnePlus Band has arrived in India to rival the likes of Xiaomi Mi Band 5. The smart band retails for Rs 2,499 (~$34) in India.
The company is offering interested customers dual-coloured tangerine grey and navy bands for Rs 399 (~$5.4).
Sales of the OnePlus Band kicks off on January 12 via Amazon India, Flipkart, and OnePlus India’s online store.
