As South Africans begin to adapt to the new ways of living due to the global pandemic, Multichoice South Africa has broadened its content selection, value, and reach. The company is opening up a portal of online learning and entertainment to its DStv customers as of May 19.

“As the nation-wide lockdown continues, the company continues to provide its customers with the best available content and uninterrupted video entertainment,” said Mark Rayner, CEO, Multichoice South Africa.

“We are looking into new and creative means of adding value for our customers through our services-especially during this COVID-19 period,” Mark added.

Multichoice is set to introduce an online learning feature into its services. This initiative is to help customers make the most of their time while indoors. Through the DStv app, DStv customers will have access to over 600 free courses offered by Udemy, a leading online learning platform, from today till the end of July.

Furthermore, all active DStv premium customers will be gifted a $5 voucher to use on any of the paid courses on Udemy for a month.

Also, all DStv Compact and Compact Plus subscribers will get a month free subscription when they subscribe to either of the plans at only $2.86 (R49). The offer will be valid until the end of June. All premium customers as well will continue to access Showmax at no extra cost.

To cap it all, PVR customers will get one BoxOffice movie credit every week for a month. That’s four movie credits to rent any four latest movies at no cost. This offer will last until the end of June as well.

“The company is committed to offering companionship and the best service to its customers,” Mark concludes.
