Microsoft has announced the new members of its Surface series – the Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 7. These devices were built to cater for the operational needs of both mid-range and high-end users.

The Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 7 are said to uphold the company’s trademark in terms of their speed, build, design, mobility, and security. They both feature new processors and improved connectivity options to facilitate learning and remote work practices.

Vithesh Reddy, Consumer and Channel Marketing Director at Microsoft South Africa, said ‘’Fast and continuous change define modern living and working environment. The transition to remote learning and working requires the right tools to stay productive and securely connected.’’

‘’Microsoft Surface brand is in existence to deliver the kind of speed, versatility, and productivity required by consumers to execute tasks faster, better, and to stay connected all the time irrespective of their location. As with previous Surface devices, we have introduced best-in-class upgrades to the new devices in the Surface series.’’

The new Surface Laptop 3 has a slim, light, and premium finish. It comes in two display sizes – the 13.5-inch and 15-inch display. Both variants feature PixelSense Display touchscreen, new metal keyboard design, and offer up to 11.5 hours of usage.

With the latest 10th Generation Intel Core processor on the Surface Laptop 3, it delivers improved speed and performance.

On the other hand, the Surface Pro 7 is dubbed a more versatile device for professionals on the go. Like the Surface Laptop 3, it is fueled by Intel Core’s 10th Generation processor. The device comes with modern connectivity options like the USB-C and USB-A ports, fast charging tech, and an all-day lasting battery.

As from July 29, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 will be available for purchase at Vodacom and Incredible Connection Stores.

The Surface Laptop 3 will retail for R22,999.00 while the Surface Pro 7 will carry a price tag of R17,999.00.
