ASUS finally starts pushing Android 11 to the ROG Phone 3

When you learn that the ASUS ROG Phone 5 is in the market already, it sounds like the ROG Phone 3 was launched two years ago. For a device that made the market in 2020, that is not true.

Thus, it is laudable that ASUS has finally started rolling out Android 11 to this unit. Although they should have done that long ago, it is better late than never.

The changelog for this update comes with information on a new ZenUI design for the phone, alongside a notifications tray and settings optimisations. You will also get new native editing settings in the Gallery app, among other changes. Of course, there will be some bug fixes and housekeeping in there.

For the price point that the phone launched at, this is not a unit that should be snubbed this way. Now that it has Android 11 on board, it is a phone worthy of buying in 2021 still. When you consider that it is a 6.59-inch device sporting a Qualcomm SD 865 chipset under the hood, paired with anywhere between 8 to 16GB of RAM, you see that too.

If you happen to have the unit, the update notification should pop up on your unit if it hasn’t already.
