A few weeks back, Vivo announced the V20 series smartphones in some Asian markets. The V20 series includes the Vivo V20, Vivo V20 SE, and Vivo V20 Pro.
Today, the tech giant is hosting a launch event in India to announce the much-anticipated Vivo V20 smartphone.
Like the earlier released V-series smartphones, the Vivo V20 delivers high-quality photography experience as it sports high-resolution cameras on both sides.
The Vivo V20 comes with a waterdrop notch 6.44-inch S-AMOLED panel, which offers the user with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a Full HD+ resolution.
Although, the Vivo V19, which precedes the V20 features the same display size, the all-new V20 features an improved single 44-megapixel selfie shooter compared to the dual 8-megapixel + 32-megapixel selfie snapper on the V19.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 720G mobile platform SoC drives the smartphone. It packs up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
On the rear panel, the device adopts a camera module similar to that on the Vivo X50 series. The module consists of a 64-megapixel primary lens, a multi-function 8-megapixel shooter for wide-angle shots, and a 2-megapixel mono sensor.
The rear camera delivers features like dual-video view, super night mode, super-wide-angle video recording, ultra-stable video, 4K video recording, motion autofocus and more.
The selfie shooter also supports features like eye autofocus, super night selfie, steadiface selfie video, 4K selfie video capturing, dual-view video and lots more.
The Vivo V20 sets a record as the first phone to come loaded with the new Android 11 OS. It will boot to the FunTouch OS 11 UI based on the Android 11.
The smartphone supports connectivity options like dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It houses a 4,000mAh battery that has support for 33W FlashCharge support. Also, the phone features a dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.
The Vivo V20 is available in 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The former costs Rs 24,990 (~$340) and the later retails for Rs 27,990 (~$382).
