Last week, Tecno silently announced the Tecno Camon 18 Premier in Nigeria. And now, the company has followed suit with the rest of the Camon 18 lineup. The Camon 18 Premier happens to be the first Tecno Camon 18 series smartphone to debut.
Specifications and Features of the Tecno Camon 18 and Camon 18P
Both smartphones come with a 6.8-inch screen with a punch-hole design for the selfie shooter. While the base model supports a 90Hz refresh rate, the Camon 18P supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
The duo supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, and they ship with the HiOS based on Android 11 OS. Design-wise, both smartphones have identical characteristics.
The Tecno Camon 18 features the Helio G88 chipset alongside 4GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the Camon 18P rocks the Helio G96v processor and 8GB of RAM. Both devices offer the user 128GB of native storage and a 5,000mAh battery.
However, these smartphones have different charging capabilities. The Tecno Camon 18 supports 18W fast charging, while the Camon 18P supports 33W rapid charging.
For lenses, both the Tecno Camon 18 and Camon 18P sport a 16-megapixel front-facing snapper with dual flash. Hence, these smartphones promise better selfie pictures in low-light areas.
The rear camera setup on the Camon 18 comprises a 48-megapixel primary lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth shooter. On the other hand, the Camon 18P features a 48-megapixel main snapper, a 13-megapixel portrait lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Further, the Tecno Camon 18 supports other features like super night mode, 2K time-lapse photography, portrait video bokeh, and night portrait mode.
However, Tecno is yet to confirm the pricing details and availability of the Camon 18 series. But customers would get the Camon 18 and Camon 18P smartphone models in iris purple, ceramic white, and dusk grey color variants.
