Samsung has updated all of its flagship units from last year with the latest Android 8 Oreo software. This is thus the best time to shift their focus to flagships from previous years and from what we are seeing on Wi-Fi Alliance, they are in that stage too.
At this point, the next set of smartphones from the South Korean OEM to get the Oreo push would be the Galaxy S7/ S7 Edge, Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A3 (2017).
All of those units were spotted on Wi-Fi alliance and there, they all had Android 8.0 Oreo running on them. Note that the Wi-Fi certification is the last one a smartphone gets before rollout commences, so we are sure this update is in its last stages.
All that is left is for the Android smartphone giant to announce the calendar for their latest software rollout to these units. If you are using any of the mentioned units, sit tight and wait or something to happen in a couple of months at best
