Motorola might not have its name out there as much as it used to, but they are not going down without a fight either.
Of recent, we saw two devices from the company show up on TENAA. Dubbed the Moto Edge 20 and Moto Edge 20 Pro, we only knew then that such appearances meant that they were close to a launch date.
As of the time of this writing, the company has announced a launch event for August 5. While they don’t mention the units that will go live on that day, it doesn’t take too much of a guess to know that these units will show up in the flesh then.
Likewise, the event poster refers to a camera phone – which is the selling point on the Edge 20 line-up.
For now, we know that the base Edge 20 will come with an SD 778G chipset from Qualcomm, pair that with 8GB RAM and run the Android 11 platform out of the box.
The bigger Pro brother will have 5G on board, but we don’t have any other info on the internal specs it brings to the table. However, we know that it will do better than the vanilla variant.
It is expected that this Edge 20 series gets three devices at launch and add one more variant to go to North America. In the next few days, we’ll see how true all that is.
