Samsung has been giving its A-series line of mid-range smartphones a bug push as recently, the OEM has been pushing new devices with groundbreaking specs to the series. Last month, the South Korean OEM released the Galaxy A7 (2018), its first smartphone with a triple rear-camera. The device was followed by the Galaxy A9 (2018), the world’s first phone with four cameras on the rear.
According to some leaked images, the A-series might be getting a new member in the coming weeks… or months.
The device will be called the Galaxy A6s. It first surfaced when it hit the net on a recent TENAA listing. Now, in what seems to be hands-on images, the Samsung Galaxy A6s has been revealed showing different colour variants of the device.
As seen above, the device is covered in glass material on the rear and will launch in four colours: purple, blue, red, and black. The images go further to reveal that device will sport a dual camera aligned vertically at the top-left corner on the rear with a LED flashlight beneath both sensors. There’s also fingerprint sensor.
Flipping the phone to the front reveals a big end-to-end display with thick bezels at the top and bottom. There’s a selfie camera and earpiece above the display while the bottom bezel houses no components. One of the devices in the leaked images has been powered on and a “Samsung Galaxy Phoenix” power-on message on the display.
In what seem to be a surprising move, the Samsung Galaxy A6s might launch with a LCD display, which is unlikely of Samsung as its devices are synonymous with AMOLED and Super AMOLED displays. A 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB port, and loudspeaker occupies the devices bottom space.
The Samsung Galaxy A6s will reportedly carry the following specifications: 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution, Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, 6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage options, 2.2GHz Octa-core SoC, and 3,300 mAh battery.
For now, there’s no info regarding price details, processor type, and release date. We promise to keep you posted as more details of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A6s unfolds.
