Sometimes last week, we reported on the upcoming iQOO Z5 5G which was supposed to launch soon. iQOO has since taken the device to China and are expanding the global appeal of the device with an Indian launch as well. We are expecting a launch to Europe and other parts of the world as they hope to make the most sales off this unit.
If you haven’t already looked through the specs sheet, this 6.67-inch model is not sold as an upgrade to the existing iQOO Z3 5G, which is strange given the naming system that was chosen here. Thus, the brand continues to sell the older device alongside the newer one which is considered an extension of the old device.
The new unit is also very impressive, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a massive 240Hz touch sampling rate to match. Under the hood is the Qualcomm SD 778G paired with an extended RAM setup to allow you get even more out of the device.
For snappers, the back comes with a 64MP led tri-camera setup while we have a single 16MP shooter on the front. Sporting Android 11 and a 5000mAh battery out of the box, the iQOO Z5 5G is expected to retail from an equivalent of about $326 for the 8GB/ 128GB RAM option and up to $366 for the 12GB/ 256GB package.
