The iQOO 5 series will be available in two models as earlier reports stated. It is believed the company will unveil the smartphone series on August 17. Like most smartphone manufacturers do, one of the iQOO 5 smartphone is expected to be a standard model, while the other will debut as a high-end model – iQOO 5 Pro maybe.
Recently, a Vivo phone bagged certification from the 3C authority of China. The 5G-ready phone with model number V2024A was seen with a 55W charger.
Meanwhile, the same model number of the Vivo phone is mentioned in the reservation page of the iQOO 5 on JD.com.
Similarly, another device with model number V2025A received approval from the 3C authority of China not long ago. The smartphone was spotted with a 120W rated charger.
Judging by the order of the model numbers, the V2024A smartphone seems to be the standard version of the iQOO 5 series while the V2025A is the high-end variant of the series.
According to a tech tipster, the V2025A will surface as the iQOO 5 Pro. He further mentioned that it will support reverse charging technology. Its charging port will support 55W/44W fast charging tech as well as 65W PD rapid charging.
The tech firm revealed that the iQOO 5 series would be powered by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform chipset. The chipset is assisted by LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
It was earlier revealed that the iQOO 5 series smartphones will feature curved edges and a punch-hole on its AMOLED panel. The display will carry support for 240Hz touch sampling rate and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
According to the company, the 4,000mAh battery in the iQOO 5 series will charge fully in 15 minutes when using the 120W fast charging tech.
