Finally, Infinix has launched the Smart 5 smartphone in India. The phone arrived as a successor of the Infinix Smart 4 that launched in November 2020.
The budget-friendly smartphone features attractive specs like a huge display and a large-sized battery.
Specifications of the Infinix Smart 5
The new Infinix Smart 5 has a massive 6.82-inch display with a teardrop notch design. The screen offers the user an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels.
It also supports a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 440nits of brightness.
According to Infinix, the Smart 5 offers the user a 90.66 percent screen-to-body ratio; and it boots to the XOS 7 UI based on Android 10 – quite fair for a low-priced device.
Under the hood, the phone features the Helio G25 chipset alongside 2GB of RAM. It houses a 6,000mAh battery that promises 50-day battery life on standby.
Aside from the in-built 32GB storage, the phone supports storage expansion via microSD card.
For lenses, the Smart 5 houses an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter in the on-screen notch. On the other hand, it packs a rectangular-shaped camera module on the rear panel.
The module comprises a 13-megapixel primary sensor followed by a secondary depth lens, and an LED flash unit.
For security, the Smart 5 features AI face unlock and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.
The Infinix Smart 5 supports connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The handset arrived in Africa as a revamped model of the Infinix Hot 10 Play.
In India, the Infinix Smart 5 sells for Rs 7,199. And it is available for purchase in Purple, Aegean Blue, Obsidian Black, and Morandi Green.
The sales of the smartphone will begin from February 8 through Flipkart.
