After tantalizing its fans for more than 2 weeks with the promos and teasers of its latest flagship device, the Taiwanese multinational formally launched HTC 10 this morning.
As this highly-anticipated handset was formally launched, HTC fans finally got their hands on all the associated details about this smartphone including the price and availability.
HTC 10 comes at a price of $699 (about 140,000 Naira). The handset will be accessible via Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint.
In addition, a developer edition of HTC 10 is also being released which is accessible via the company’s website. The developer edition of HTC 10 will work only on AT&T, MVNO and T-Mobile networks.
An inspection of the innards of the device reveals that HTC 10 is fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz along with Adreno 530 GPU for enhanced graphics.
The smartphone sports 4GB of RAM along with 32GB internal storage on board that can be extended up to 2TB via micro SD card slot.
The smartphone features 5.15-inch Super LCD 5 display with 2560×1440p screen resolution and 564ppi pixel density.
HTC 10 packs in 12MP rear snapper supported by f/1.8 aperture laser autofocus and OIS.
In addition, the device also features 5MP front-facing camera to click selfies. The camera specs promise an enhanced and high-end image experience on HTC 10.
The new HTC handset will sport 3000 mAh non-removable battery. The battery backup also comes with Quick Charge3.0 technology. HTC 10 will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 topped with HTC Sense out of the box.
The most important highlight of the device is its support for BoomSound technology along with Dolby Audio 4.
HTC 10 will be made available for purchase three color options including Topaz Gold, Carbon Gray and Glacier Silver.
Pre-orders are starting from today. However, HTC has not confirmed about the shipping of the device yet.
