Redmi is no stranger to launching the same unit in different markets, and they are also great at renaming units for this purpose.
That is why we were not surprised to see that they were planning a Redmi 10 launch for India, but under a new name. Already confirmed by an IMEI database listing, the phone now gets Bluetooth SIG certification showing that it will be named the Redmi 10 Prime for India.
There are no details on the core specs of the unit but we don’t think that it will veer too much from what we have on the standard Redmi 10. Thus, we could be looking at another 6.5-inch screen device that has a punch hole camera housing its front camera and a massive 5000mAh battery under the hood.
Changes could be made to the chipsets and innards, but they should be around the range of a Helio G88 chipset and about 6GB of RAM. For storage, we should expect nothing less than the 128GB capacity here.
From experience, devices that have gotten their certification from the Bluetooth SIG will make the market in a month or less after that. Thus, we have less than 30 days to see what this unit truly brings to the market, the unique offerings and its selling point too.
