If the rumors are legit, OnePlus is on the verge of unveiling a new flagship smartphone – the OnePlus 9RT. Reports iterate that the company plans to launch the phone as an affordable flagship.
Recently, a new OnePlus handset with model number MT2110 appeared on the database of the 3C certification authority of China. Meanwhile, previous leaks have stated that the upcoming OnePlus device will arrive in limited markets like China and India.
Speculations say that it’s likely the handset debuts in its home market under the OnePlus 9 RT moniker as well. However, the same OnePlus smartphone made an appearance on Geekbench today. And it appears that the company is testing its performance before launching.
Interestingly, the Geekbench listing of the OnePlus 9 RT revealed that it would arrive with a Qualcomm chipset codenamed Lahaina. As stated in the listing, the chipset’s configuration suggests that the OnePlus 9 RT would likely feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC.
In August, information leaked regarding the OnePlus 9 RT mentioned that the phone would sport an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 870 chipset. Therefore, it’s likely that the Snapdragon 888 SoC would come with the OnePlus 9 RT.
According to the Geekbench listing, the OnePlus smartphone with model number MT2110 would offer 12GB of RAM and ship with the Android 11 OS.
The OnePlus 9 RT garnered 818 points in the single-core test and 3246 points in the multi-core test. However, some sources claim that the Indian variant of the OnePlus 9 RT will carry the model number MT2111.
The smartphone would likely sport features like an FHD+ 120Hz 6.55-inch AMOLED panel, a 16-megapixel selfie snapper, and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera system.
The handset may rely on a 4,500mAh battery – which supports 65W fast charging – for backup.
